WITHERING SURFACE Part With Keyboardist
January 7, 2003Danish metallers WITHERING SURFACE have parted ways with keyboardist Morten Lybecker due to "family priorities," according to an official press release from the group. "Lybecker and WITHERING SURFACE [part] in a spirit of friendship and understanding towards each other's wishes. The band has no plans of a replacement, and will in the future take care of keyboard parts themselves. The band is currently busy writing new material for the sequel to last year's successful 'Walking On Phantom Ice', released on British label Copro Productions (EARTHTONE9, MEDULLA NOCTE, etc.). A lot of songs [have] already been written, and the band promises that it will be absolutely killer material! Expected release on Copro in Oct./Nov. 2003. WITHERING SURFACE is also planning a spring-tour with 10-12 dates covering Norway, Sweden, Germany and Denmark. Check www.witheringsurface.dk for updates."
